A Funky Run...

All of the runs around our town are pretty funky...it's that kind of place.

The culture is pretty "surfer-friendly."

Artists abound and

you never know what you're going to see in someone's front yard.

Despite being an "eclectic" place, eek...some pads can be expensive!!

And the FAST kids live on the "other" street.

The cars are "sweet!"

The owners are super cool....

And for now, we wouldn't want to live anywhere else.  Ooops...here are so random shots for Slomohusky!

And finally, Baby Kaleb Koala's Halloween costume...

Have a nice weekend everyone, Happy Friday!

I need to live there! Looks like my kind of environment with the sun and surf. OK, I've never surfed before in my life. I just want warmer temperatures and older cars/vans, and funky tag sales. Your sand pics are always so creative. Love them! How about your footprints on both sides of the heart sometime, if you haven't done that?! Baby Kaleb is soooo cute! Give her a hug for me. Thanks as always for your kind words on my blog. I have writer's block, but will try to finish my marathon report today or tomorrow.

I heart Leucadia. Yes, you're very fortunate to be able to afford to live there. And your grandson is so adorable as a koala. I'd certainly give him extra treats if he'd come to my door on Halloween.

I think I have my new favorite surfer town. It has been Capitola further up the coast near Santa Cruz. Great shots Meg. You are tearing at my heart with them, especially the surfer/peace bus.
Thanks for this one, much appreciated!!!!!

Like the new beach heart/art. Wow, this one with rocks and kelp!! Your my favorite sand/beach artist!
Are the bolts going to win one tomorrow agains the Giants?

Yeah, the "slow children" sign rocks. You should send that in to Leno. You would die if you saw the boring scenery I have to run in. I'm jealous!!

I think I need a slow children sign and maybe a slow children t shirt. lol I love all the pictures! It looks like an amazing place to run, I feel like the scenery in my town is so boring and redundant.

PS

CUTEST BABY COSTUME EVER!

Two things...

1. Love your header photo and how you change it...super cute and creative.

2. If you think that's pricey you gotta come to SF - it takes serious cashola to live around here.

Great pics!!

So jealous. I would love to live so close to a surfable coast. It's only surf friendly in the winter here. Brrrr!

That certainly is some funky scenery to enjoy while on the run.

AWW look at Kaleb! So sweet. You must be one proud grandmama.

Yes, I remember Leucadia being kind a funky place. Good to see it still is. Encinitas used to be too back in the 80's but now has changed so much. *sigh*
